Serial number 4717 delivered in the early 1980s. I wouldn't hesitate using a DT5 on this rod even though it's labeled a 6wt. One of the tip sections appears to be a later replacement (by Mr. Howells) and the other one is definitely original to the rod. The node spacing on the tips is different, 2x2x2 vs. 3x3.
