The reel features a german silver rotating line guard. Original, un filed ribbed alloy foot. The tensioner functions perfectly throughout its range. The spool spindle fit is nice and tight. The ebonite handle spins freely as it should. All in all, a spectacular Hardy wide drum reel in a hard to find size that won't break the bank.
