The study showed a 13% reduction in major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE), a composite endpoint for cardiovascular death, nonfatal myocardial infarction, or nonfatal stroke, in patients treated with liraglutide compared with placebo at a mean follow-up of 3.8 years (hazard ratio [HR] 0.87, 95% confidence interval [CI] 0.780.97) and a significant reduction in cardiovascular death (HR 0.78, 95% CI 0.660.93)
Together, they appear to promote tissue regeneration, wound healing, and tendon healing in experimental research settings
