Limited. Cabernet Cantor was bred in 1989 at the Freiburg State Viticulture Institute from the varieties Seibel 7053 (also called Chancellor), Merzling, Zarya Severa, and Muskat Offonel. It is early ripening, frost hardy, resistant to powdery and downy mildew, and has only a slight tendency to shriveling and stem lameness.
