Kilkerran Heavily Peated Batch 8 0,7l, alc. 58,4 Vol.-% Whisky der Monats Aroma: Fruity and fresh withOriginally established in 1972, Glengyle shares the same fate as nearly all Campbeltown distilleries. Hedley Wright, descendant of founder William Mitchell and owner of Springbank Distillery, purchased Glengyle's old buildings in November 2000 and began the renovations. When it came to the equipment for making the single malt, he mainly used used equipment. Glengyle Distillery reopened in 2004 and on March 25th the first New Make was distilled.
