In 1865 the distillery was sold to John Grant, whose descendants later renovated the distillery and still own it today. Glenfarclas is known for its single malts, which mature entirely in ex sherry casks. Hardly any Scottish distillery has such an extensive range of different bottlings. Glenfarclas 105 matured in ex sherry
