5" inner circumference there seems to be a spot on the base of the hat at the back between where the two sides sweep in towards each other that has no feathers but I cant tell if this is deliberate or they have been lost
The skirt is top stitched so it has a quilted/padded appearance and machine cotton lace edging is applied to the bottom hem and the tiered seam just below the knee
It is exceedingly rare to find such a wonderful piece from this time period of the atelier's history that is as striking and beautiful as this dress is
