The combination of playing more than one land a turn and being able to play lands from the top of your library is very efficient, and sometimes youll untap with Oracle of Mul Daya and play two lands from the top of your library, effectively ramping and getting card advantage
So, while you can definitely ignore the Expanded format if thats not your thing, those who enjoy (or are curious about) the format can look forward to playing it, or at least seeing some cool decklists
