I wonder how often I'm being watched and by whom when I'm out exploring the countryside

and the sun feels amazing

It has inspired me to start capturing more of that side of me in my work

I was inspired to paint this after one very early morning hike this past fall. After a long trek in the dark, I came into this meadow right as the sun peaked over the mountains. The cool season grasses and flowers are a pleasant surprise this time of year. As the sun illuminated the sky at first light, it contrasted the valley floor so perfectly I knew I wanted to capture it. Specifics: 12x16" Original oil
