the "Broomfield" scrawled at the bottom I believe refers to the location of the drawing- a hamlet in Wiltshire

with one small imperfection in the glass running down from the lip--this appears to me to  indigenous to it

Likely it was not completed, but to me she seems just right a sort of Sphynx, legs merging into block of wall, and arm crossed in front of her as if controlling passage and she herself seems like the riddle to be solved. With no mouth to speak, but holding what feels like a lot of power. 7" t x 2 3 8" w x 2 3 8" d. Very good condition. Wood is dense and
