I purchased this first and foremost because I found it super beautiful as both a sculptural object and a line drawing of sorts

More carved decoration around the bottom of the base in the form of a series of abutting circles incised with arched lines that create a sort of quatrefoil pattern

This one was clearly done as one of a series by a teacher, who recorded the pattern of the weaving at upper left, as she did on a second example also listed today. 8" x 6". Good condition, c. late 19th century. A few stains around the perimeter
