COBI Lockheed P-38 Lightning Fighter : Set #5882 volkswagen scale of the plane andLockheed P 38 LIGHTNING was a fast and heavily armed American long range fighter aircraft from World War II. This unusual twin engine plane had a gondola with a pilot's cabin placed between two fuselages. The so called "flying frame" provided very good performance, which resulted in a long production period lasting from 1941 to 1945 and an excellent number of victories by American pilots.
