Riv-Nail R-5 1/2-55 - Steel for 5 Rivet/Plate Pitch-80 531 in Sheave Angle 40°Riv Nail R 5 1 2 55 is a rivet hinged belt fastener for belts 3 8" to 19 32" on pulleys 12"+, rated to 800 PIW. Top and bottom plates sandwich each belt end and are secured by a staggered pattern of self setting Riv Nails (semi tubular rivets paired with pilot nails). The compression design does not rely entirely on belt fabric for pull out resistance, making Riv Nail the preferred mechanical splice on worn belts and high strength synthetic carcasses.
