I am not certain of the wood but believe it is a tropical wood and the sculpture is quite heavy for its size

The ferrule (the wooden part to which the bristles are attached) is 4" wide and 1 1/2" deep

Finding these was for me total delight, and Id be pretty tempted to frame them up, though it would be very hard to choose which side so better probably just to keep them out on the table. I'm listing individually as I feel like one might have an affinity for a particular word or combination this one I love especially for the fabulous red robot
