We have prepared prayer beads for gurus of the Nichiren (Hokke) sect. This time, we have made them from green sandalwood, also known as the "Tree of Life" or "Green Phoenix". The trunks and branches of this tree are not originally green, but are said to change to this green color when exposed to air. The longer it is left, the greener it becomes, which is probably why it is called
