I've had one other of these and will always grab them when I see them because they're just so graphically satisfying--and pretty fun to operate

Relief Carved Leaping Puppy bee carrier box pulled taut by sinewOne of a bunch of smallish animals of various sorts gathered at Brimfield, this one I really like for the energetic puppy ness of the carved spotted dog, suspended forever mid leap, mouth open and tail high. Carved in deep relief, stained and varnished, 1940s 50s or so, I would guess. 6 1 4 l x 2 5 8 t x 3 4" d. Very good condition. Stands up on its own, but a hook easily added for hanging.
