There is an old hairline crack coming in from the edge of one side

showing the irregularities in the bone more dramatically than they appear to the eye

Beautiful Antique Terra Cotta Vessel with Handle pocket watch hutch In the meantimeI really don't know much about this pot, which I purchased from artist Richard Fleischner, in whose studio it lived alongside many beautiful old vessels from around the world. I think it is quite an old one, with gorgeous color and surface and utilitarian form, I believe most likely made for cooking. My guess is 19th c. Mediterranean. I'm pricing it just based on its beauty and much under valuing it at that! 9" t x 7 1 2" across at handle x 6 3 8" d;
