"Uncle Howard" with Hidden Mother Plus One, Odd and Painterly Antique Tintype Chromotrope bends or significant stainsBy far my favorite "hidden mother" tintype I've had for the strange looking baby (looks almost like an adult head collaged onto a baby's body!), and for the not one but two "hidden" figures. Happily the face of the young mother directly behind the baby is revealed in profile just to the left of the baby's head (look closely), lending a sense of playfulness to an otherwise somewhat eerie feeling image. And then another figure lingering in the shadows
