they were mounted to board and framed--each one different

SOLD Antique Folk Art Oil on Canvas with Shored Boat and Disappearing Sky ink drawing with collage I know that this signQuite poetic I think, the way the sky here has chipped away, exposing the canvas beneath and in so doing pointing to the fiction inherent in all representation. Just right for an image of a docked, or washed up, row boat too, with human nowhere in view; time passes, trees fall, people and things disappear. 10" x 8" . Paint loss as evident but quite stable, no more chipping and otherwise in lovely condition. Late 19th c. I believe. Lovely.
