Are they young friends or young lovers? I'd guess based on the text of the postcard that the girl in bed is infirm, a stand in for the recipient of the card, but perhaps also the Bobbie and Mim Miss S referred to in the last sentence? I suppose we'll never know, but I really love speculating about it, and find the
