My guess is that it is a Shona sculpture---referring to the modern movement of carved stone sculpture from Zimbabwe that began in the mid-20th century

The front of the "bell" is painted in blue to resemble the label of a bottle

Sold as a set as I think they're really nice all together

It seems quite possible a teacher outlined the bird in pencil first, with Carol contributing the perfect watery blue and brown, and then a few brown crayon lines for the ground and a pencil scribble or good
