it was made by Arthur Armour (1908-1998)

including perhaps a low budget Sci-Fi film

Wonderful Old Red Painted Cigar Box Wood Jointed Man boy with dogs I'd guess mid- to lateThis guy was surely once attached to a string, performing acrobatic acts, but I love him just as his is now, ready to perch somewhere. Hard to beat the carved profile of his face, but the shapes of his arms, legs and especially those feet are pretty great too, and I love the clunky screws and bolts attaching them to his torso and red paint too. I also always love seeing the old cigar box print on the flip sides. Really a charmer! 5 5 8" t x 1 7 8" w x
