Mammillaria atroflorens Big Plants! Crassulaceae spirosticha Family: EuphorbiaceaeMammillaria atroflorens A nice green bodied species with white tufts of hair on the big tubercules. This species is noted for its long spines. They aren't that long yet but as the plant matures the new spines will get consistently longer. Flowers are pink and produced throughout the growing season. Mature plants can be 5" or more in diameter and may form clumps in time. This species is included in M. mystax by some botanists. Takes normal cactus care.
