Man with Absurd Mustache, Gem Tintype in Original Potter's Patent 1865 Sleeve totem pole carving and I've found one otherI keep thinking maybe this is not as wild as I think but then I look at it again and this mustache is truly insane. Especially on the face of this quite young man. Maybe a fake mustache, I don't know, I think it is excellent whatever the case. Potter's Patent March 7, 1865 embossed on the sleeve, which refers to the die cut paper frame, patented by Ray W. Potter of New York. As mounted: 3 3 4" x 2 5 16". Tintype 1 1 4" x 3 4". Excellent condition.
