Lot of Old Quilter's Templates, One Signed, Dated 1889 tramp art heart box Just the right sort ofFound in Maine, these are old hand cut cardboard stencils or templates, which would have been used for cutting pieces of fabric to be incorporated into quilts. The lovely blue leaf shape, signed on reverse (Catharine Hunsecker) and dated 1889, is clearly the oldest among them, more aged and worn than the others.
